RESOLVED - In accordance with the Members Code of Conduct, the following declaration of personal interests in a matter pertaining to the agenda was declared:-

1. County Borough Councillor R. Bevan in respect of agenda item 5

“I am a Governor at Pontygwaith Primary School”.

2. County Borough Councillor A. Chapman in respect of agenda item 5

“I am a Governor at Treorchy Comprehensive School”.

3. County Borough Councillor J. Bonetto in respect of agenda item 5

“I am a Governor at Hawthorn High School”.

RESOLVED to elect County Borough Councillor (Mrs) W. Treeby as Chair of the Voluntary Early Retirement/Redundancy Panel for the Municipal Year 2019/20.

Penodi Is-gadeirydd y Panel ar gyfer Blwyddyn y Cyngor 2019/2020.

RESOLVED to appoint County Borough Councillor (Mrs) M. Webber as Vice Chair of the Voluntary Early Retirement/Redundancy Panel for the Municipal Year 2019/20.

It was RESOLVED to approve the minutes of the XXXX as an accurate reflection of the meeting.

“Bod y cyfarfod hwn yn cadw aelodau o'r wasg ac aelodau o'r cyhoedd allan o ystafell y cyfarfod, dan Adran 100A(4) o Ddeddf Llywodraeth Leol 1972, yn ystod trafod yr agendwm nesaf, ar y sail y byddai'n debygol o olygu datgelu gwybodaeth eithriedig yn ôl diffiniad paragraff 12 o Ran 4 o Atodlen 12A o'r Ddeddf.”

RESOLVED – that the press and public be excluded from the meeting under Section 100A(4) of the Local Government Act, 1972 (as amended) for the following items of business on the grounds that they involve the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in paragraphs 12 and 23 of Part 4 of Schedule 12A of the Act, namely information relating to a particular employee, former employee or applicant to become an office holder under the authority and information relating to any consultations with any labour relations matter arising between the Authority or a Minister of the Crown and employees of, or office holder under the Authority.

The Panel considered the joint report of the Chief Executive, Director of Human Resources, Group Director of Prosperity, Development & Frontline Services, Group Director of Community and Children’s, and Director of Education & Inclusion Services, in respect of applications for voluntary early retirement with redundancy and voluntary redundancy.

Following consideration of the report, it was RESOLVED –

1.    To note the error made in Appendix 18 -  Employee PRG, details of Age should read 54 years (and not 3 years, as set out in the minutes), and Length of Service should read 3 years (and not 54 years, as set out in the minutes).

2.    To approve the under-mentioned applications, as detailed in the report and listed below -
