To receive disclosures of personal interest from Members in accordance with the Code of Conduct

Note:

1.    Members are requested to identify the item number and subject matter that their interest relates to and signify the nature of the personal interest: and

2.   Where Members withdraw from a meeting as a consequence of the disclosure of a prejudicial interest they must notify the Chairman when they leave.

In accordance with the Council’s Code of Conduct, there were no declarations made pertaining to the agenda.

To receive the minutes of the previous meeting of the Voluntary Early Redundancy Panel held on 11^th December 2019.

It was RESOLVED to approve the minutes of the 11^th December 2019 as an accurate reflection of the meeting.

“That the press and public be excluded from the meeting under Section 100A(4) of the Local Government Act 1972 for the next item of business on the grounds that it involves the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in paragraph 12 of Part 4 of Schedule 12A of the Act”.

RESOLVED – that the press and public be excluded from the meeting under Section 100A(4) of the Local Government Act, 1972 (as amended) for the following items of business on the grounds that they involve the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in paragraphs 12 and 23 of Part 4 of Schedule 12A of the Act, namely information relating to a particular employee, former employee or applicant to become an office holder under the authority and information relating to any consultations with any labour relations matter arising between the Authority or a Minister of the Crown and employees of, or office holder under the Authority.

To consider the joint report of the Chief Executive, Director of Human Resources, Group Director of Community & Children’s Services, Director of Education & Lifelong Learning and Group Director Corporate & Frontline Services containing exempt information (to follow).

The Panel considered the joint report of the Chief Executive, Director of Human Resources, Director of Education & Inclusion Services, Director of Finance & Digital Services and Group Director – Prosperity, Development and Frontline Services, in respect of the applications for voluntary early retirement with redundancy and voluntary redundancy.

Following consideration of the report, it was RESOLVED –

1.    To approve the under-mentioned applications, as detailed in the report and listed below –
