Declaration of Interest

In accordance with the Council’s Code of Conduct, the following declaration were made pertaining to the agenda:

·         County Borough Councillor S. Bradwick declared an interest in Item 4 of the agenda: ‘I know one of the Applicants’.

To note, that when Members determine the licensing and registration matters before them, they have a duty not to act in a manner that is incompatible with the convention on Human Rights and the Crime and Disorder Act.

To consider passing the following Resolution:

“That the press and public be excluded from the meeting under Section 100A(4) of the Local Government Act 1972 (as amended) for the following items of business on the grounds that they involve the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in Paragraph 13 of Part 4 of Schedule 12A of the Act”.

Enforcement Summary (Including Appeal/Prosecution Data) for the period 20.10.21 - 24.11.21

Minutes:

The Director, Public Health, Protection and Community Services provided Members with the report outlining the most recent enforcement activity, including any prosecution and appeals updates for the period 20th October 2021 to 24th November 2021.

 

The Committee RESOLVED to acknowledge the update.

Urgent Business

To consider any items, which the Chairman, by reason of special circumstances, is of the opinion should be considered at the meeting as a matter of urgency

 

Minutes:

The Director, Public Health, Protection and Community Services provided Members with a verbal update in relation to spiking of drinks which is a noted concern of the trade and patrons. Also, Members were advised that a report has recently been presented to the Crime and Disorder Committee regarding further measures being implemented in Rhondda Cynon Taf to keep women and girls safe in public places and that a written report regarding this matter would be presented to Committee at the next meeting.
