Committee details
Due to the relocation of the Council Chamber from Clydach Vale to Pontypridd and the relocation of Council Chamber equipment, all Council Meetings will be held virtually from November 21st 2023 until further notice. It is anticipated the full relocation will be completed by January 2024 when hybrid meetings will be resumed.
Whilst meetings are held virtually, members of the public wishing to speak at a meeting should be aware that this will be via the virtual platform, Zoom.
Purpose of committee
In accordance with the Local Government Act, 2000 which requires the Council to keep its Constitution under review and up to date and the Corporate Governance and Constitution Committee has been appointed for this purpose. As agreed at the Annual Meeting of the Council held on the 20th May, 2015, the appointment of the Chair and Vice-Chair of this Committee is allocated to the Presiding Officer and Deputy Presiding Officer respectively
