RESOLVED – In accordance with the Members Code of Conduct, the following declaration of personal interests in a matter pertaining to the agenda was declared:-

Mr C Jones, GMB, in respect of agenda item 6, “One of the Applicants is known to me”.

To elect a Chair of the Panel for the Municipal Year 2024/2025.

RESOLVED to elect County Borough Councillor S. J. Davies as Chair of the Voluntary Early Retirement/Redundancy Panel for the Municipal Year 2024/25.

To appoint a Vice-Chair of the Panel for the Municipal Year 2024/2025.

RESOLVED to appoint County Borough Councillor (Mrs) M. Webber as Vice Chair of the Voluntary Early Retirement/Redundancy Panel for the Municipal Year 2024/25.

To receive the minutes of the previous meeting of the Voluntary Early Redundancy Panel held on 23^rd April 2024.

It was RESOLVED to approve the minutes of the 23^rd April 2024 as an accurate reflection of the meeting.

“That the press and public be excluded from the meeting under Section 100A(4) of the Local Government Act 1972 for the next item of business on the grounds that it involves the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in paragraph 12 of Part 4 of Schedule 12A of the Act”

The Panel considered the joint report of the Chief Executive, Director of Human Resources, Deputy Chief Executive & Group Director of Finance, Digital & Frontline Services and Director of Public Health, Protection & Community Services, in respect of applications for Voluntary Early Retirement with Redundancy and Voluntary Redundancy.

Following consideration of the report it was RESOLVED –
